Day 3: Love

“The most important commandment,” answered Jesus, “is this:’ Hear, O Israel” The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this:’ Love your neighbor as yourself’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Read the whole passage in Mark 12:28-34

Love is not a feeling. It’s not a romantic word. It’s not a flippant or casual word. But a God-sized word. A word that captures all that Jesus said. All that he taught. All that he hoped to convey in this world. It is the anthem of God. The command above all other commands. The reason for our creation and the foundation of all relationships. The mark of our faith and the goal of our life. It is that thing for which we strive, that height we seek to climb, and that purpose for which we move and breathe and live.

Talk with God

I love you. Help me love more. Mark my life with love. Fill my breath, my steps, and my every movement with love.

Live it. How will you live more second today?

Tell it.How will you share what you have learned?
