Watch Brian “Head” Welch film
What did you like about, identify with, or learn from Brian’s story?
Brian was in deep waters of what the world can offer. In one instance he days he had all things in the world and he tried all things in the world that could give him pleasure but he was still burdened and weary in his heart. He learned the hard way that Jesus is the only way who can give peace and take away all the burdens of his life. In the same manner, you can conquer everything in this world and it would be deceiving that it gives pleasure to you but in the end, you would feel so empty. Jesus can fill that emptiness with joy peace and love that no one on this earth can give.
They saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind. — Mark 5:15
Read the whole passage in Mark 5:1-20
What It says
1.What did you like about this passage?
The wonderful action in this passage is when Jesus just walking past by the area, the man with the evil spirit saw him a distance away and came pleading at Jesus’ feet not to torture him. When you are filled with the Spirit of God demons and spirit will tremble at your feet even far away, you do not need to keep your hands on it.
2.What did you not like or find confusing about this passage?
One thing like about this passage is that one word from Jesus drives out all the evil power from a person. Jesus did not do any kind of stunt as of some modern day preachers do. But He was able to just say a word, with the power vested in Him he drove out demons by the herd.
What It means
3.What does this passage teach about people?
When Jesus drove out the 2000 demons that were residing in this man. Some of them were so afraid of Him that they asked them to leave the area. I was wondering that even people were afraid of a miracle.
4. What does this passage teach about God?
God is all powerful than any powers of darkness or witchcraft. Jesus was so gentle when asked by men in that area to move out of the place. Jesus is a gentleman, when you really want Him in your life you call out to him and he will answer you. But when you say to him you don’t want him he will move away but He will still be on the sidelines waiting for you and knocking at your door to answer him.
