Day 6: Risen

Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! — Luke 24:5-6

Read the whole passage in Luke 24:1-8

The grave could not hold him. Death could not defeat him. Hell could not prevail against him. Dead and buried for three days, Jesus, the coming Hero, the promised Messiah, the Son of God, Sprang from his tomb alive and well. The debt of humanity’s erring ways paid in full for all those who accept and believe. Jesus conquered death that we too may find victory over its hold. He offers hope when all else fails He offers a future when all else ends. he offers what no one else can: eternal life. He offers it because he and he alone won over death. The question is, will we accept this offer? It is both free and exorbitant. Free in that he asks only for faith, for us to throw ourselves on his mercy and admit our inadequacy. Exorbitant because it cost the life and death of the Son of God, a price we did not pay but that was paid on our account.

Talk with God
Forgive me for my sins. Save me from my errors. I believe in the sacrifice of your Son. I commit to live the rest of my life never forgetting the price of my freedom.

Live it. How will you live more Second today?
Tell it. How will you share what you have learned?
