Day 1: Failure

Watch the Christian Hosoi Film

What did you like about, identify with, or learn from Christian’s story?

Christian life story is so real, where Christ can meet anyone at their time of need. God does not look at what you have done for Him. But He shows us grace and mercy so that no matter in what state or situation you are in, Christ is enough to save you, cleanse you and turn your life upside down and give you an eternal peace and joy which can only found through Him and no material things or practices in this world can give you.

One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful….–2 Samuel 11:2

Read the whole passage in 2 Samuel 11:1-27

What It Says

  1. What did you like about this passage?

In this passage, it explains about King David battle with the enemies and the major event that He took a wrong turn.

  1. What did you not like or find confusing about this passage?

Being a chosen one from God, David stumbled and sinned for a moment and to hid that particular sin, He even committed more sin to cover up the first sin that He had committed. Even a king who is chosen by God is still Human and have his own flaws only which God can rectify and no other man can’t

What It Means

  1. What does this passage teach about people?

In this passage, it explores how people are always obedient to the King. We can clearly see how Uriah is so diligent in fighting for the King’s army and in also following God’s covenant. But one another important thing is that Uriah also should look after his family which he failed to understand that it is also God’s covenant to look after your family and provide for their needs.

  1. What does this passage teach about God?

In my view, God is all powerful and He gives every Human being a free will to choose wisely of God’s ways. When the humans do not follow God’s way He is not happy but at the same time, He is there to correct us and forgive us if only we acknowledge what we have done is wrong and not good in the sight of the Lord. I believe acknowledging and confessing that you are wrong and God is right is the biggest step that you can do.

God is all powerful to forgive you and take you back in as sons and daughters of God.
