Day 1: The Promise

Watch the Whispering Danny Film

What did you like about, identify with, or learn from Danny’s story?

From the start of the film, I see Danny explaining about his worst situation where he was going on with the way of the world and the worst possible situation hit his friend that deeply affected him. I like how open he was in trying on Jesus to save his friend out of impossible situation.

Sometimes in life you might go through impossible situations where would think in your mind how can I come out of this situation or  how can anyone provide relief from the pain and suffering. Lot of people turn to drugs, drinks and other part where the world would offer but all those are temporary relief and you would feel even more bad than the first position you were. It is only Jesus christ who will be able to fill your entire void in your life and fill it with immeasurable joy, peace and love and He is capable to make every impossible situation possible.

I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. –Genesis 12:2

Read the whole passage in Genesis 12:1-9. 15:1-21.

What it says

1. What did you like about this passage?

I like how intervenes with Abraham and assures him what He is going to do in his life and how bleesed Abram generations are going to be. I like how God says I will make to the ruler of the nations.

2. What did you not like or find confusing about this passage?

The part where Abram makes sacrifices to God while he cuts open and keeps it, the vultures try to come and eat it while Abram tries to keep the vultures away. This part was confusing a little bit and I was not sure what does it signify!

What It Means

God is mighty and He is able to do impossible things possile and the only thing that we have to do is have faith and believe in Him.

Live it. How will you live more second today?

Tell it. How will you share what you have learned?
Practice it. Get with a friend or someone in your group. Practice or role play your “Live and Tell” commitments.
